The name "Old Crows" emerged from the
first use of electronic warfare in World War II to disrupt enemy
communications and radars. Allied equipment and operators were known by
the code name "Raven". Common jargon changed the name to
"Crows" and those engaged in the profession became known as
"Old Crows".
Formed in 1964, AOC is a nonprofit tax-exempt
professional association with 65 chapters in 19 countries. The
affiliated AOC Educational Foundation provides scholarship grants to
college students. The Association’s headquarters is located in
Alexandria, Virginia. At present there are over 14,500 members
throughout the world.
