I've been working in the Fort Monmouth Community almost 50 years now, and always felt the need for a Newsletter for the professional. Now that I have more time, my dream is coming true. My civilian career started in 1951 as a photographic engineer in the Photographic Research Branch, Applied Physics Division (both gone), and ended in 1983 as Tech Plans Chief with the Combat Surveillance and Target Acquisition Laboratory (absorbed by the EWRSTA Laboratory). In between those years, I gathered 13 patents, wrote a score of technical papers and got my just share of recognition and awards. Since the 1983 retirement, I've worked as a staff engineer, consultant and marketeer for several "three letter" firms in the area. Currently, I am Past President and Board Member of the Industrial Representatives Association, an Executive Board Member of AUSA, on the Board of Directors of AFCEA, on staff with the Combined Professional Association and a dues paying member of the Old Crows and Quad A. I've also retired from the Society of Photographic Scientists and Engineers as a Senior Member and Past President of the Monmouth Chapter. I've had a wonderful career so far, and now I have ArmyDotMil to play with.
